Ny sommerskole i sommeren 2020 med fokus på kulturarven i den nationale identitet, pædagogik, turisme og økonomi

Sommerskole

I et samarbejde mellem HistorieLab, UCL og Universitet i Sørøst-Norge har vi sammen udviklet en sommerskole med fokus på kulturarv med et interdisciplinært perspektiv på national identitet, uddannelse, pædagogik, turisme og økonomi. Sommerskolen vil blive afholdt i Jelling fra d. 10. til d. 15. august 2020 og vil være gratis for studerende og 2950 kr. for ikke studerende. Sommerskolens program

  1. Kursus introduktion: forelæsninger, præsentation af studerende og besøg til UNESCO verdensarven Kongernes Jelling.
  2. National identitet: fokus på national identitet ved forelæsninger, seminar om en udvalgt case og talks med gæsteforelæsere.
  3. Turisme: forelæsninger, besøg og talks med professionelle fra Vejle og Jelling som arbejder turisme lokalt samt lokale aktører fra Jelling Festival.
  4. Dagsudflugt til Dybbøl og Sønderborg og besøge relevante museer.
  5. Uddannelse/pædagogik: Uddannelsesektorens perspektiv på temaet og med et fokus på mindre børn. Besøg til Jernaldermiljøet i Vingsted

The week in august will consist of the following activities

  1. Course introduction: lectures, student presentations and visit to the Unesco World Heritage Site Kongernes Jelling
  2. National Identity: focus on national identity via lectures, seminar on a selected case and talks with guest lecturers
  3. Tourism: lectures, visits and talks with tourism professionals from Vejle and Jelling and local actors from Jelling Festival
  4. One-day field trip to Dybbøl and Sønderborg with visits at relevant museums
  5. Education/pedagogy: education sector perspective on the theme and a special focus on smaller children. Visit to the Iron Age Center in Vingsted.

Practical information

The summer school is a BA-level course of 5 ECTS and is arranged by UCL in cooperation with The University of South Eastern Norway (USN).
